Survivors of trauma may choose at some point in their journey to join a therapy group as part of their healing. Participating in a group can help relieve isolation and offer a space to process your experiences or learn new coping skills in community with other survivors.
CVTC’s expert team of trauma-focused therapists facilitate a range of different therapy groups for survivors who may be at different points in their healing. Some groups focus on learning about trauma and ways to cope, while others involve sharing your story and processing the feelings connected with it.
Our groups run on a rotating basis over the course of the year, and all have requirements for participation, including current engagement in individual therapy and an interview process prior to participation. If you are interested in participating in any of the below groups, please give us a call at 212-523-4728. Our staff will connect you to the group facilitator who can share information about requirements for the group and next steps. Please be aware that some groups may have a waiting list.
